CBD for Cats: Just like their human counterparts, as your pet’s age, along come those little aches and pains. The only difference is our pets cannot tell us exactly what is going on. It is up to us to help figure it out for them. To make this easier for humans, Canna Meadows has formulated a tincture specifically targeted towards pain and inflammation. Our Pain formula is made with Full Spectrum CBD, providing your pet the broadest range of available cannabinoids, including THC. Our Full Spectrum formula is compliant in that it contains no more than. 3% of THC. Research has shown that THC activates the CB receptors, and with CBD, displays an entourage effect which helps in improving tolerability and perhaps even safety of THC. Combined, they work together to have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant and anxiolytic activities on the endocannabinoid system. Most pain is derived from inflammation. If your pet’s cause of pain is inflammation induced, our Pain formula could be an important addition to your pain management routine for your pet.
Like our Broad Spectrum Furry Friends Formula, we start with Wild Caught Fish Oil as our oil carrier. We chose Fish Oil over MCT oil because after extensive research, we found that MCT Oil used for dogs or casts with IBD may aggravate diarrhea or cause other digestive issues. We didn’t want to use a carrier oil that could contribute to ill health. Our carrier Fish Oil is high in Omega 3, EPA and DHA and comes from fish caught in the cold waters of Iceland at the lower end of the food chain, such as sardines, anchovies, herring & mackerel. Not only are these species eco-friendly, they are sustainable sources of fish oil, sitting at the lower end of the food chain which ensures lower toxin levels than those at the top. Our carrier fish oil is “human grade”, because if it is good enough for humans, it’s going to be great for your kitty.

Our Furry Friends Formula is specifically formulated for pets using human grade ingredients which include Omega 3 Fish Oil derived from Icelandic harvested, wild caught, Sardines, Anchovies, Herring & Mackerel. We chose Fish Oil as our carrier oil because of its benefits as MCT Oil may cause additional digestive issues for your pet. We combine the Omega 3 Fish Oil with a high concentration of our Full Spectrum CBD oil to optimize the dosage for your kitty’s size and age.
Our Full Spectrum Formula contains THC. It meets the legal limitations of less than .3% THC.
Our Full Spectrum Formula is rich in multiple different cannabinoids besides CBD, providing the “entourage” effect for your cat. If your kitty’s pain is inflammation induced, our formula should be part of your pain management arsenal.

Ingredients: Contains Premium wild caught sardines, anchovies, herring and mackerel and Full Spectrum (Less than .3% THC) CBD. 60 Servings each of 2.5mg of CBD per Bottle at .5ml per serving.
Dosing: For cats use .5ml (1/2 dropper, which is 7.5mg of CBD) for each 10lbs of body weight. Round up the serving size if your cat’s body weight is closer to the next 10lb increment. However, it is better to under dose, than over dose when using a Full Spectrum CBD formula. THC levels can accumulate over time and build up with continuous dosing. Monitor your pet for 3 – 5 days at the lower end of the dosing range before increasing dosage. Just like with humans, we always suggest “go low, go slow” when it comes to dosing. With all CBD products, “more” isn’t always better, and while we would like to sell you more, what we want most is to sell you what is right.
Each .5ml (1/2 dropper) dose contains 2.5mg Full Spectrum CBD oil in our Omega 3 Fish Oil carrier for a total of 60 servings per bottle.
Monitor your pet after dosing for the first several days. Should your pet exhibit signs of sluggishness, glossy eyes, looks “high”, or you notice your pet wobble when walking, discontinue use for several days until resolved. Reduce the dosing amount before starting again. These symptoms should clear out over the course of a few days after discontinuing use. Keep pet hydrated. And always, we recommend you consult your vet before starting any home treatments.
Do not administer to pets less than 1 year old or that are pregnant or nursing. CBD is generally considered safe for pets.
